To quote Flannery O’Connor (one of my favorite writers) “I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say.”
A wordsmith both by education and by trade, writing has always been my way to sift through thoughts, feelings, and observations to make sense of the world outside me and within me. I’ve lived a few different lives over the course of my one lifetime. Becoming a companion was never something I would have anticipated, but I have found that this chapter of my life suits me quite nicely.
The freedom that companionship affords me also helps to afford my ability to spend time writing without the pressure of a boss or a deadline.
Over on my Substack I share pieces of my writing. Stories from my life, (anonymous) stories from dates, things that have kept my mind occupied while I flit from city to city, adventure to adventure.
Some posts are available for free, some are paywalled. If you enjoy my writing, consider becoming a patron. Supporting my writing really means the world to me.
In addition to my writing, my newsletter has tour dates, date ideas, and extra glimpses into my life. Think of it as a peek into my mind, a way to spend time with me when you’re not spending time with me (which I hope you do soon!)
